PVC, TPO and Hypalon Applications

Most single-ply roofing systems have an oily residue that is present on the roof surface for around five years after installation. This helps to protect the single-ply membrane, but makes it difficult for our material to adhere to the surface without a primer. However, after about five years, the oily material wears off and our material no longer requires a primer on these surfaces.

Below are the products we recommend if you have a PVC, TPO or Hypalon roof:

See full application instructions here.

We always recommend using a test kit prior to applying our material to ensure that it adheres to your surface.

Does my roof need a primer

If your roof is less than 5 years old, you will need this primer. If older than 5, base decision on adhesion test.

Once you have performed adhesion tests and applied the proper primer, you will need coating.
